Jawa 9 & 10 Coal Fired Steam Power Plant 2x1000 MW
Jawa 9 & 10 are two new coal-fired power plant units being developed to expand the Suralaya coal-fired steam power plant (CFSPP) in Indonesia.
Each unit will have a capacity of 1 GW. The construction of the Jawa 9 & 10 Steam Power Plant (PLTU) projects carried out by a consortium of PT PLN (Persero) subsidiaries, namely PT Indonesia Power together with PT Barito Pacific Tbk., is a National Strategic Project.
The Jawa 9 & 10 will use the Ultra Super Critical technology made in Korea and Germany, namely OECD, which is proven to be more efficient, lower in carbon emissions, and more reliable. The project's engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts were awarded to Hutama Karya, an infrastructure development company, and Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction, an infrastructure development company.
This Project consists of five areas namely Power Block, Balance of Plant (BOP), Coal Handling System (CHS), Air Insulated Switchyard (AIS), and Jetty.
